OUR PROCESS

Are you searching for a true shortcut to American Sign Language (ASL)? Our innovative and unique program uses ASL to create communication and facilitate speech development for children with autism and other special needs.

It’s easier than you think!

You already know more than you realize!

The first time you use it can be life changing!

Our instructional programs and services provide a one- stop solution for the difficulties faced by those who want to learn more.   For parents, we understand there is no time left in the weekly schedule  to add  another activity or class.  Teachers, therapists,  care givers and the many unique individuals who touch our children’s lives on a day- to- day basis play a critical role in their development.

Half-day workshops for parents and professionals either on or offsite can remove the roadblocks, obstacles, and fears you have about learning American Sign Language.   Workbook and hands-on practice during class will get you well on your way to feeling comfortable with signing immediately.  As a team, parents and teachers work together step by step in a simple straightforward plan discussed in class and provided in the workbook. You won’t be left hanging.

With this short cut you can learn just what you need for your child.  The term   “Your Child”  could be the patient of a therapist, student of a teacher, or child of a parent. It absolutely facilitates communication with verbal and non-verbal special needs children.  It works.  And as a team, family, friends,  and the extended list of professionals who take part in our child’s life can all play a vital role in their development.

Workshops include a workbook for every attendee that  provide greater detail on topics discussed in class.   It  condenses information found in dozens of books and written materials to understand  what we really need to know for our child and how do we get started.  It provides an overview of creating your child’s plan, your next steps, how to get everyone on board easily,  and a USB drive with hundreds of the first signs you’ll need.  Post-workshop, ongoing assistance via phone or email is welcomed and encouraged.

Teaching units/CEU’s are available for teachers.  Just check with your local education board for verification requirements.

The entire program is focused on how we connect the world with our children to reassure them that they are not simply onlookers but vital members of their communities.

This is not a one- size- fits- all approach.  At every turn, our work is tailored to meet the needs of your child and family.  So what’s your next step? Schedule a workshop for your organization and watch miracles take place!
